ROLE Production Designer

OpenStore’s business was based on being a Shopify storefront aggregator and, as a Production Designer, I supported a large portfolio of brands. My role extended over a range of areas including paid ads, email graphics, social content, website, app-store assets, push notification copy, image retouching, motion graphics, asset management, and brand guideline development with an output of hundreds of cross-channel digital assets during my time with OpenStore.

01 / OVERVIEW

Designing for a portfolio, not just one brand.

OpenStore’s model required creative work that could move quickly across many different brand personalities while still meeting e-commerce performance needs.

The work was both creative and operational: maintain brand consistency, adapt assets for launches and promotions, and keep acquired brands moving through a high-volume production pipeline.

The Challenge

1

Each acquired brand came with its own visual identity, product category, audience, and asset history. The challenge was to produce conversion-focused marketing quickly without flattening every brand into the same visual template.

Design systems had to be understood, cleaned up, documented, and applied across campaign work, launch assets, mobile experiences, and promotional creative.

The Strategy

2

I approached the work as a scalable production system: identify the brand rules, organize assets, create reliable templates, design for each channel’s constraints, and adapt messaging to each brand’s customer and campaign objective.

This helped create a repeatable creative process that supported both day-to-day execution and larger launches across the OpenStore portfolio.

Impact

3

Creative production that supported scalable growth across a large portfolio of brands. This work strengthened my ability to move quickly inside complex brand systems while balancing design quality, channel constraints, campaign objectives, and operational efficiency.

OpenStore taught me how to balance creative execution with operational scale. Across dozens of brands, the work required more than producing graphics — it required understanding brand context quickly, making assets usable across teams, adapting creative for different channels, and maintaining quality while moving at the speed of e-commerce.

02 / PAID MEDIA PRODUCTION

High-volume creative designed for testing, speed, and conversion

Paid social production required fast design iteration, clear promotional hierarchy, and brand-specific visual decisions. Across the portfolio, I adapted product photography, sale messaging, typography, and motion graphics into campaign-ready assets for acquisition and retargeting.

Below is a small sample of ad iterations for the EXO, Epiphanie, HistoreeTees, and Ecletticos brands. Hundreds of iterations were designed and tested as I worked cross-functionally with the Marketing team to continue building on successful layouts.

03 / PRODUCT LAUNCH SYSTEMS

Campaign ecosystems for launches, drops, and seasonal collections

For product launches and cross-sell collaborations, the work extended beyond a single graphic. Each campaign needed a connected set of assets that crossed storefront, email, paid ads, stories, web banners, and sometimes push notifications so customers encountered a cohesive launch narrative across the purchase journey.

Below is a sample of campaigns I worked on and standardized to create a template and scalable system across each brand for easy design, development, and launching.

EXO AFFILIATE PROGRAM LAUNCH

Affiliate program launch campaign released to incentivize EXO users and content creators to influence their audiences to purchase EXO drones for commissions and rewards.

BAHIMI SEASONAL RELEASES

Swimwear campaign systems built around new product drops, seasonal color stories, web banners, and conversion-focused promotion.

COLLECTION LOUNGE DROPS

Launch graphics for exclusive product drops, translated across storefront hero placements, email campaigns, social stories, and paid media formats.

04 / CROSS-SELL COLLABORATIONS

Jack Archer, a leader in men’s apparel, expanded its lineup with the launch of premium, handmade leather shoes by doing a collaboration with Sutro, another one of OpenStore’s Shopify brands.

I project managed the design for the initial launch, from overseeing that product photos match the consistency and aesthetic of the preexisting assets, the creation of a new subsidiary logo, infographics for the product descriptions, website banners, and more.

05 / MOBILE + APP CREATIVE

Designing commerce assets for the smallest screens

OpenStore’s brand portfolio required mobile-first creative that could support app discovery, push campaigns, product launches, and web conversion. I designed and wrote concise campaign assets that prioritized clarity, speed, and channel-specific performance.
